Ted Travels: Wander around Lima
Last week I recommended some of the best museums your clients can visit while in Lima, but if they just want to have an extra day of wandering around this city these are my suggestions.
First things first: Food. Lima is the place to experience one of the best gastronomic wanders. I´m sure you already know that, but it´s worth mentioning it again. Central, Maido, and Astrid y Gastón are three of the best restaurants not only in Latin America but in the world. We can book your clients’ flavour exploration to any of these restaurants on their tailored made holiday.
Clients will want to get some souvenirs for dear ones, suggest a stop in Larcomar, a shopping centre in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Lima, Miraflores. It’s built on the side of a cliff with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, making it not only a great place for shopping but also for its architectural plan by the seaside which offers a great view.
If clients want to explore the cool side of Lima, Barranco is the perfect getaway from Miraflores. Its walls are filled with street art and the buildings are bright and colourful. This district will offer historical architecture and the trendy art scene. Barranco has been home to some of Peru´s finest artists due to its beauty. They can also get a wish granted by crossing the Puente de los Suspiros, a bridge known for granting wishes for those who cross it while holding their breaths.
For adventure seekers, Lima offers the best panoramic view of the green areas, the urban buildings and the coast from above! Paragliding will make their trip extraordinary! If your clients want a less of an adrenaline rush, suggest a stroll in the Water Fountain Park, Parque de la Reserva, a beautiful place to visit during the day but during the night it becomes magical as their famous fountains light up for a spectacle of colour.
