Manchester City has announced full details for the team’s upcoming tour to the United States this summer. The Manchester City’s Tour 2018, supported by Visit Abu Dhabi, will see the team play three exciting fixtures as part of the International Champions Cup.

Chicago will be the first destination for the team as they meet Borussia Dortmund on the 20th July at the Soldier Field stadium. The team then travels to New York City, home of sister club New York City FC, to play against Liverpool F.C. at the 82,000 capacity MetLife Stadium on the 25th July. The tour will then conclude on the 28th July with a match against manager Pep Guardiola’s former side Bayern Munich in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

These fixtures were announced back in April at an event in Miami where Joleon Lescott, who won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup with Manchester City, represented the Club.

Omar Berrada, Manchester City’s chief operating officer, commented: “Our previous tour of the United States last summer provided a great platform for the team to kick off its current campaign and we are excited to confirm our plans for this year.

“Manchester City has a great following in the United States with a growing and passionate fan base. The team is looking forward to meeting and playing in front of thousands of our US fans for what promises to be a fantastic tour.”

Manchester City will host a series of fan and community events across these three destinations. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
