Peugeot Europe meets DriveAway Down Under
While there is still a lot of work to do, self-drive numbers to France have started on a positive note for 2018. Incidents in France over recent years have deterred the Aussie traveller, however the many pieces of France that have made the country a favourite, is slowly luring Australian’s back.
“We are finally seeing a turnaround for France” says Chris Hamill, Managing Director of DriveAway Holidays”. “The French market has been tough however the airfares on offer, the ground content on offer and the beauty of France that we all love is finally shining through”.
The resurgence for DriveAway is being led by sales in the popular Peugeot leasing programme. The current Earlybird deal of up to 10 FREE days, 50 percent off delivery and return fees outside of France and free loyalty days, has been popular with holidaymakers planning a road trip in 2018, with registrations growing.
The DriveAway team recently hosted Mr Christophe Spitalier, Marketing Manager and representative from Peugeot Open Europe in Paris. DriveAway has been working in a strong partnership with the Peugeot Europe brand since 1992 and once again in 2017 lead the brand to the #1 position in Australia in terms of market share and volume.
Hamill says, ‘we were delighted to have Christophe visit the Australian market and experience not only our operation, but that of some of our key distribution partners. We have enjoyed a long partnership with Peugeot and look forward to many successful years ahead’.
Among several visits Christophe visited a local Flight Centre supporter store in Blues Point.
