MBK Shopping Center launched Bangkok Buddy service

MBK Center has recently launched a ‘Bangkok Buddy’ service with an objective of providing memorable customer experience for local and international shoppers while shopping at one of the largest malls in the Thai capital.

The MBK Shopping Center Bangkok Buddy is available daily from 14.00 – 16.00 Hrs, and starts with a rendition of hip hop and Thai contemporary dance which is performed along with the hip hop, EDM tunes, combined with the Thai chorus and Thai instruments, including Ranat Ek (Alto xylophone), Ching (finger cymbals), drums, Kaen (reed mouth organ) and gong circles.

The music is exclusively arranged and produced for this performance. The performance is choreographed by D-Maniac Megacrew, Thai youth group whose love for hip hop brings them to the number five in 2016 World Hip Hop Dance Championship.

Following the daily dance routine to announce the start of the two-hour service, the Bangkok Buddy team will walk around the mall to greet shoppers and tourists as well as offer to provide any shopping or travelling assistance they may need, to ensure their maximum shopping experience.

MBK Shopping Center, found in 1985 as Mah-Boon-Krong, is one of the most famous malls located in the heart of Bangkok, at the Pathumwan Intersection. The eight-story mall  has a usable area of 140,000 square meters, offering 150 eateries and over 2,500 shops and stalls selling everything an average visitor coming to Bangkok would want to buy. The centre has an average of 115,000 customers a day, including 35,000 tourists from all around the world.

Pathumwan Intersection is considered a shopping and dining paradise in Bangkok. Tourists going to MBK Shopping Centre normally combine the trip with a visit to nearby Siam Square, Siam Discovery, Siam Centre and Siam Paragon, all offering great shopping and dining experience.
