Australia’s airports will become hubs for love this Valentine’s Day as Jetstar reunites long-distance lovers across the country.
From Hobart to Hamilton Island, and plenty of places in between, Jetstar will deliver love by flying five lucky people to spend the most romantic day of the year – Friday, 14 February – with their significant other.
Long-distance lovers can get on board by tagging a photo of themselves and their partner with #deliveronlove and #JetstarAustralia on Instagram, remembering to include where they live and where they need to fly to for their romantic reunion.
Jetstar will be giving away 5 domestic flights to 5 lucky winners from now until Thursday 6th February on Jetstar’s Instagram account @jetstaraustralia.
“From Melbourne to Mackay we have lots of regular customers who travel for love and even some who fall in love while travelling,” said Jetstar Australia and New Zealand CEO, David Hall.
“Jetstar connects people every single day and this Valentine’s Day we’re proud to be bringing together couples who’d otherwise be celebrating the day alone.
“Their reunions will turn Australia’s airports into hubs of love for one day, as hugs and kisses take over the arrivals hall.”
Jetstar pilot, Kester van As, said flying international routes often kept him away from his wife regularly, making touching down at home particularly special.
“It’s fantastic to be flying customers from place to place and to think you might be reuniting partners, friends and family who haven’t seen each other in a long time,” Van As said.
“To be facilitating that reunion is a great part of the job, particularly on Valentine’s Day when the plane is often full of passengers meeting their partners for a romantic day together.”
